Federal Tax Credit (ended)

The 30% federal residential solar credit (Section 25D) was terminated by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act for expenditures made after December 31, 2025, and the planned 26% and 22% step-downs were repealed with it. The IRS treats the expenditure as made when installation is completed, so a system finished in 2026 or later receives no federal credit. State, local and utility incentives may still apply — enter them as a lower system cost. If your installation was completed by the end of 2025, select the 30% option above.
